Dorothy Gause Tharp
Dorothy Margie Gause Tharp, 83, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. She was born September 24, 1927 to the late Jesse and Eula Fountain Gause. She was a former member of Bull Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell R. Tharp, two brothers, Jesse V. Gause, Jr., Frank A. Gause, and sister, Betty G. Weaver.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie D. Tharp, of Savannah, Robert L. Tharp Julia, of Warner Robbins, daughter, Fay D. Farmer, of Savannah, Sister, Gloria G. Hardie, of Warrenville, SC, five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
